Wing overview
The Crossed Wing
Sinisi Prime is characterized by its long, widely-spaced stellar corridor, where neighboring systems are often separated by greater distances than elsewhere in the galaxy. While nebulae are uncommon, the wing is supported by unusually long and stable slipstream branch channels that converge through a small number of junctions.
Because of this, travel throughout the wing naturally funnels through relatively few crossroads, making the control of gateway systems and slipstream junctions especially important.
Throughout history, influence within the wing has been measured less by the size of one's territory than by command of its major transit routes. As a result, the wing's great powers have repeatedly competed for control of the same strategically important gateway systems, many of which have passed between rival states while retaining strong regional identities.
